What a pleasure it was to capture the {H} family just before a perfect Carolina spring sunset! They had requested more of a life-style session. What does that mean exactly? It means that I still scout the location for the best lighting, and make basic suggestions for where and how to sit. But beyond that, I let the family BE a family for the duration of our session. We certainly still sing songs and make funny noises to keep the kiddos happy and catch their attention, but I will keep shooting even when the posing isn’t “perfect” or when not everyone is looking at the camera. The results: some pretty amazing REAL-LIFE family pictures! (And a very difficult time culling on the photographer’s part!)
